Jesus Christ Superstar

Some productions ignite. This one burned.
With Jesus Christ Superstar, Far Corners Community Musical Theatre took to the stage not to reenact scripture, but to explore the heartbeat behind it. The vulnerability, the disillusionment, the ache of being seen as both man and myth. This was not a tale of perfection. It was a human story. Raw, exposed, set to music that pulsed with urgency and soul. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s score and Tim Rice’s lyrics swept through Monteverde, filling the space with questions louder than answers. What happens when belief collides with doubt? When a voice meant to guide becomes one that is misunderstood? From the first note, the production held nothing back. The cast walked a delicate line between reverence and rebellion. They stepped into roles that carried the weight of history, emotion, and legacy. They gave us not just a portrayal of Jesus, Judas, and Mary, but a meditation on loyalty, loss, and the cost of conviction. It wasn’t a spectacle. It was a storm. And when the final chord rang out, it left behind more than silence. It left reflection, breath held, and the faint echo of a question still lingering in the air. “Why should you want to know why?” MEET THE CAST
