Participants must be between the ages of 13 and 18 at the time of the program and have completed the 8th grade or equivalent by July 1, 2015.
No Spanish? No problem! We will place you with a host-family where at least one family member speaks English well, and you will not be uncomfortable during the program due to Spanish ability. You will be placed in a beginner Spanish class, and you will find you will make significant progress in conversational Spanish during your visit.
¿Le encanta hablar español? This program is a fantastic opportunity to practice and improve your Spanish. You will be placed in a Spanish class appropriate to your level, and you will have constant opportunities to converse in Spanish with your host family and your Costa Rican peers, as well as to teach in Spanish during the children's program if you wish.
All international participants must be proficient in English (OR fully fluent in Spanish).
Participants should possess a strong interest in musical theatre, as this is an intensive performing arts experience. Expect to spend three to six hours per day rehearsing and/or working backstage. Our staff will challenge and support performers of all experience levels. We hold high standards for performance and commitment for all students, whether enthusiastic beginners or seasoned thespians.
